Frequently asked questions

A little help with finding, making, and sharing projects.

What is Playground?

Playground is a place to discover, try, and share independently made tools, games, and experiments.

How do I share a project?

Choose New project—the + in the centre of the mobile navigation—or open Studio. Add a link or upload your files, review the project details, then publish when you’re ready. Drafts stay private until you publish them.

What does Connect agent do?

It connects your computer so your coding assistant can send projects and updates to Playground. Open Connect agent and follow the connection instructions. Keep your pairing code private.

Where do I edit a project?

Open Your studio, choose your project, and open its settings to update its listing. You can also manage its source files, remixing options, and publication there.

What is a remix?

A remix builds on another maker’s shared project. Projects show a Remix action when source access and the project’s license allow it. Check the license and any access requirements before using the source.

Why does a project ask for an API key?

Some projects use services that need your own API key. Review the listed services before starting, and only provide keys you’re comfortable using with that project. Usage may be billed by the service provider.

What if a preview won’t load?

Choose Try again to start a fresh preview. Keep waiting is useful when a preview is still loading. If the problem continues, send feedback with the project link, what you tried, and the message you saw. Never include API keys or sign-in codes.

How do I find projects or change the sort?

Use search to find a project. On mobile, open the filter icon beside search for Popular, Recent, or Following and other filters. Choose Show projects to apply your choices.

Where are my account settings?

Open your profile menu and choose Settings. You can update your profile, appearance, and notification preferences there.
